Mark Harrison - General Manager

Mark has been a member of The Pickaquoy Team since the Centre opened in 1999. Prior to his appointment as General Manager in 2007, Mark was the Assistant Manager and the Senior Assistant Manager.
Before moving to Orkney, Mark worked in the United States as the Assistant Director of a privately owned and operated girls residential summer camp. Prior to working in America, Mark worked for Fife Regional Council as the Manager of the leisure Centre.
Mark is heavily involved in triathlon and has competed for Great Britain on several occasions.

Charlotte Harrison - Operations Manager

Charlotte has been a member of The Pickaquoy Team since 1999. Charlotte began work as the Senior Fitness Advisor/Duty Officer/Group Fitness Instructor until the year 2000 where she was appointed Assistant Manager but keeping her role as Group Fitness Instructor. In 2007, Charlotte was appointed Operations Manager. Prior to moving to Orkney, Charlotte worked in America as the Assistant Director of a privately owned residential summer camp. Charlotte spent a number of years in America as a Dance instructor and on returning to Edinburgh, she worked for a Fitness and Health Club chain.

Sue Sulat - Finance Manager

Sue is the Finance and Administration Manager and has been with the Centre since February 2001.

Dave Walker - Duty Manager

Prior to moving to Orkney in 2004, Dave was employed in the NHS as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a Stroke and Head injury unit and latterly as a Moving and Handling Advisor whilst also working part-time within the leisure industry as a trainer/teacher of swimming, lifeguarding and gym. Dave has been employed at The Pickaquoy Centre as a Duty Manager (and practises Sports Therapy in The Health Zone) since June 2005.

Robin Irving-Lewis - Duty Manager

Robin has been associated with the Centre since September 2000 when he began as a casual Leisure Assistant and progressed on to become a Duty Officer. Robin left Orkney in November 2005 to live and work in the Isle Of Man where he got involved in the IOM TT and Manx Grand Prix motorcycle racing as a Marshal. Robin returned to Orkney in April 2008 as part-time Grounds Assistant at the Centre and again progressed on to become a Duty Manager.

Mark Stillwell - Duty Manager

Mark's interest in the leisure industry began in 2000 when he completed a Modern Apprenticeship at the Six Villages Sports Centre in West Sussex. Here he became a Duty Officer in charge of setting up football leagues, cricket leagues, junior programmes and gained NVQ's in leisure along with various coaching qualifications in football. Mark moved to Orkney and began working at the Centre as a Duty Manager in November 2004.


Sarah Swannie - Duty Manager

Sarah is a Duty Manager and has been with the Centre since July 2005.
